Xbox Originals - Black, Ninja Gaiden, and Pirates!

Well the Xbox Originals library just got another update. The Xbox Originals allows you to purchase your favorite original Xbox games on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and download and play them on your Xbox 360. This is done by emulation similar to how Nintendo operates their Virtual Console. The Xbox Originals needs an update and we have three great games to chose from. Heres an big of what IGN had to say about each game.

Black
Black has stood the test of time. Though it's two years old and from a last-gen system, Black looks better than some recent shooters on Xbox 360. The richly detailed environments feature a high level of destructibility and the weapons look damned sexy. The only ugly thing in Black is the ragdoll deaths, which are lackluster compared to the over-the-top action showcased throughout the game. Black's biggest drawback on Xbox was its length. It's still a very short game that lacks any multiplayer. However, it's a steal for $15. Honestly, you may forget you're playing an Xbox Original it looks so good.

Ninja Gaiden

Ninja Gaiden has had a number of iterations to the point of almost being redundant. Still, there's no denying that this is one of the greatest action games of all time. If Devil May Cry 4 isn't doing it for you, do yourself a favor and give Ninja Gaiden Black a try. The game is a true test of willpower and amazingly deep. The main game will take anywhere from 12-20 hours to complete and the Mission mode will suck up even more of your time. Worth $15? Ninja Gaiden Black is still worth $30.

Pirates!

Pirates! is a classic. And by classic we mean it is now 20 years old. It is essentially the same game as when it first set sail. While Pirates! is a fun and highly addictive game, all of the new elements detract from what made the original great. This includes a horrendous dancing mini-game to woo the Governor's daughter. Call it Dance Dance De-evolution. If you can look past the somewhat outdated graphics and accept that little has changed in the past two decades, Pirates! is certainly a fun romp

Now I personally hear that all these games are great and were some of the must pown games for the original Xbox, I never owned one., but I played Pirates! a while back when it came out and I liked it. Black looks interesting and it has extremely good graphics. Ninja Gaiden seems to be a some like it and other don't type of game. Never tried it so I can't say. But I would probably get Pirates! and possibly Black....
