Yes our two VC releases for cinco de mayo were Pokemon Puzzle League and Renegade. Pokemon Puzzle League being a version of Tetris Attack, with Pokemon pasted onto it. The latter game Renegade is about a guy trying to save his girlfriend from a street gang. And it is a fighter. Woop-de-doo...

Rock Band Sells 3 Million Copies, and 10 Million DLC Songs

We have all heard of Rock Band. Face it. You can either love it or hate it, but there is no denying its success. And by these recent sales numbers, MTV Games, and Harmonix are laughing all the way to the bank. Ok that was uncalled for.

But what contributed to the success of Rock Band? The drums and mic? Or just the sheer amount of DLC that there is? I am thinking the DLC. I know of many people that keep going back online to buy the newest songs. And who can blame them? Unlike Guitar Hero 3, there are weekly updates for songs. EVERY week since the game launched. So like I said, laughing all the way to the bank...

FFVII Director Hints at a FFVII Remake!

Woot. I am not much into Final Fantasy, but one of the few games in the series I like is VII. I dunno why, but I just like it. Now we have great news like this. Woot.

Now we do not have any announcements to make this official, and there was also no console to mention either. But just hearing something like this is good for now!

My feelings are that if a remake were to work well then all the core members of the original team must be reassembled, all the artists and designers. The problem is that, although all of us have an idea of what a remake should be and how to do it, organising such a thing right now is logistically very difficult. All the different members are now involved in very new, very large projects like Final Fantasy XIII and those projects are going to take a while. Maybe, when all those games are finished then we can look at doing something like that. Of course, that said we came up with the idea for Crisis Core in just two days. It was a case of 'this is what we want to do, so let's do it'. So, you can definitely expect the probability of something spontaneous happening at some point, but it's hard to predict.

Well as if eating the Wii Fit Balance Board was not insane enough, they are popping up in a chess game. Now before all of the Nintendo fans out there get all excited, this is not for a Nintendo Console. It is for the Xbox Live Arcade. But wait, this game does not look to graphically powerful on the 360, so there could be a chance for the developers to bring this to WiiWare. That would be cool. I may get this on Xbox Live arcade, because I love the rabbids, and I like a good game of chess.

Well any time one game has a new release the other has one too. That is what is going to happen with Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant, and The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. Comments: This is what you will see at the store. So you do not actually get to see the initial Mario Kart Wii gamecase until you have bought the pack. It comes with both the game and the Wii Wheel for $50. So they pretty much give you a free Wii Wheel. And that is where the game shines. When you play, you can tell that the Wii Wheel is the best control meathod after a few matches. But during those first few matches the Wii Wheel will be difficult to use. But like I said afterwards it gets a lot better!

Comments: So here is what you will get after it is all said and done. One copy of Mario Kart Wii, one official Nintendo Wii Wheel, and a nice empty box. Pretty nice.

Comments: This is the powerful Wii Wheel. In Mario Kart Wii, it comes in this cardboard box along with a instruction manual. And compared to other third party wheels, this one takes the cake. It has an clear plastic piece that goes in front of the Wiimote's IR Sensor. This allows the Wiimote to be able to read the sensor bar. This was the problem with the other wheels.

The Game Case:

Comments: So here is everything you get in the case. One case for Mario Kart Wii. A disc for the game. The instruction booklet. A reminder from Nintendo to register your software. And finally, a pamphlet that pretty much says buy Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit, and Super Mario Strikers Charged. Why they did not mention Brawl is unclear to me. But anyways that is what is in the box.

Finial Comments: So there you have it, the unboxing of Mario Kart Wii. You sure do get quite a lot of stuff. I would say that for $50 it is well worth it. Get this game people.

IGN Gives Grand Theft Auto a 10/10

This is insane. A perfect row of tens. They did not do that with any game on IGN in the three years I have been on the site. This is insane. I have seen SO many reviews from the site and never seen a 10. The only other game that got a ten that I can think of is Ocarina of Time. WOW.

A "10" is not a score we give out very often. In fact, the last time we gave a 10 to a console game was Soul Calibur in 1999. A 10 doesn't mean a game is perfect -- it means a game is pushing boundaries, expanding a genre, and doing many things to a level so far above and beyond its competitors that they overshadows any flaws. Certainly, GTA IV has some issues, the most noticeable being the occasional flaw in the cover system, but there are many more pieces of GTA IV that are better than anything I've seen from a game in the past decade. We don't give 10s often -- just to games that merit the score.

Now, I was expecting Grand Theft Auto 4 to be a good game, but wow. Not this good. Check out ign's review here.

Well today is the release of Mario Kart Wii in Australia. So when thousands of Australian Karters open their copies of Mario Kart Wii, they are going to find a slip of paper. A slip of paper inviting them to Club Nintendo. The envy of everyone who does not live in Japan.

If you do not know what Club Nintendo is, its a program which allows you to get points for getting Nintendo games, and other things. You can redeem those points for EXCLUSIVE Nintendo items, like cool action figures, and even exclusive video games. As in game you can;t get anywhere except for from Club Nintendo. Its a cool deal huh? Thought so.

Rock Band/ Guitar Hero Stand

We all know that Rock Band/ Guitar Hero has taken over the gaming world. They are both so fun and addicting, people have trouble putting the games down. Literally. People have to prop them against tables, lay them against couches, and other places, because no one has guitar stands in their living rooms. Until now.

The stand is made of wood and can house up to four guitars on each side. It also has a flat tablelike wooden top, where you can put controllers. I personally like this design. It is made out of wood, so it matches with any room. So, for $55 this does not sound like a bad deal.

Rejoice those who are nerdy and those who err... like to fight? We have two new VC games out today, and they are actually not that bad. Now granted I am not going to buy them, but I know that our RPG for this week Phantasy Star III Generations of Doom, is an RPG that almost any hardcore Phantasy Star fan would like to have again.

Now for the beat'em up. We have River City random. One of the first freeish roaming beat things up for now reason game. It started many games and inspired even more. So if you like random beat'em ups, then this is the game for you.

So after a long confusion Konami posted an article on their site saying that due to unexpected server traffic they are going to have to pull the beta back to a later date.

Mario Kart Wii sells big in Japan this week

With 593,576 units in its debut week, Mario Kart Wii was the biggest game in Japan this past week, pushing Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G into second place after two weeks at the top.

But Capcom's PSP smash didn't do too bad either. Media Create's software chart for April 7 to April 13 has it at 221,781 units. The game has now topped the 1.59 million mark, prompting the question, where's the press release about two million shipped, Capcom?

The rest of the top 10 was all old. Coming in at third was Warriors Orochi Maou Sairin (Koei, PS2, 55,506 units), followed by Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii, 31,325), Pokemon Ranger Batonnage (30,159), Tottado (Bandai Namco, DS, 26,109), Pro Baseball Spirits 5 (Konami, PS2, 21,510), Star Ocean 2 Second Evolution (Square Enix, PSP, 17,591), Deca Sporta (Hudson, Wii, 17,171), and Smash Bros. X (Nintendo, Wii, 14,297).

Mario Kart may have topped the software chart, but it didn't do too much to spur Wii hardware sales. The PSP was once again at the top this week with 85,721 units. DS Lite came in at second with 47,158 units, beating the Wii's 46,296.

The PS3 pulled off another shocker this week, dropping into four digit territory with 8,232 units. Below it were the PS2 at 6,834 units and the Xbox 360 at 1,147 units.

We all knew that Brawl was going to sell. But for it to sell as quickly as it did, no one expected. Heres a bit from IGN.

In March, Nintendo again defined industry momentum in both home and portable video games sales, according to the independent NPD Group, which monitors retail activity in the video game industry. More than 720,000 Wii systems sold in March, representing the highest monthly sales total outside of holiday months (November or December) to date, while Nintendo DS™ also sold through nearly 700,000 systems.

Nintendo also finished with the top-selling U.S. game of March. Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which launched March 9, came in at No. 1 with 2.7 million units sold.

"Nintendo systems represented 58 percent of all video game hardware sold in March in the United States," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "We expect our momentum to continue with big upcoming game launches like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit."

All I can say is another win for Nintendo, and this is March. They have Mario Kart this month. Then the casual gamers get a hit in May with Wii Fit. Nintendo is a genius...

The name of this game is called The Conduit, which is a FPS game being made EXCLUSIVLY for the Wii. I hope they pull a great end product from this game. It seems to be very promising.

Samba De Amigo... It has Wi-Fi!

It seems that every game these days has online play. In one way shape or form. But the majority end up disappointing us via leaderboards.

This happened to us with Sega's game Ghost Squad. When we see that Wi-Fi Logo, we all thought, online multiplayer! But it just turned out to be leaderboards. So now we have Samba De Amigo's Boxart coming out with a big fat Wi-Fi logo slapped on that infamous upperlefthand corner. Every Nintendo fanboy checks that corner. Its a habit. But I honestly am puzzled by Samba De Amigo having online. Will it go the way of online multiplayer like Guitar Hero 3? Or will Sega pull another fast one on us, and have only leaderboards and no online multiplayer? We have no details, but wait with baited breath. Err, well the Samba De Amigo fanboys will... All three of them...

Well thats quite kind, and er... odd of Capcom. If you preprdered your copy of Okami at the Capcom Store for the Nintendo Wii you get two things. Okami stamps that you can use for err... mailing things? You also get some seeds to plant in your favorite garden! These seeds are actually inside the stamps, so do these stamps act as a case for the seeds? This is all very confusing. Oh, and for all of your gardeners who are wondering what plant the seeds grow into, its a sage. Woot. I sure hope we all perordered!

Rock Band Wii, PS2, and PS3 to Come out Aug 29 (WAIT UPDATED!)

Well we all know Europe got screwed over with the 360 and ESPECIALLY the PS3 releases of Rock Band. But they FINALLY have a date for the gimped piece of crap that is Rock Band Wii! Aug 29. This is also the release date for Rock Band Wii's gimped cousin Rock Band PS2. The only good part of this post is the PS3 version, that comes out along side its gimped friends. I wounder how many times I used gimped in this post? So all of you gamers in Europe take a word from the wise. GO BUY THE NEXTGEN(NONWII) versions!

NOTE: I like Rock Band. It is a really fun game! Just the 360 and PS3 versions though...

No Mario Kart Disc Read Errors for Europe

Well Nintendo has hopped onto the idea of dual layered discs. It is the new format for their Wii games. The first game was Brawl. And with that came the drys of a thousand fanboys when their Wii's could not read their new shiny dual layered copies of Brawl. Why? Because the lens in their Wii's were too dirty. Now Nintendo is willing to take your Wii and clean it and send it back to you. All free of charge I may add.

But recently many people with Mario Kart Wii in Japan were experiencing the same problems that Brawl owners had.

Ok, so the same Dual layered game is out in Europe now, and no one has had any problems with the discs. Odd. Either Europe got a good batch of discs, or Europeans can take better care of their Wii's than everyone else...

Well we get two games again this week. And I have not heard of a single one of them. The two games are Fantasy Zone, which is like a aerial shooter, that seems cutesy, and puzzleish. It is shard to describe. Also there were no gameplay videos of it on youtube. That is odd. But it looks like a cool game. So now we have two whole games on the Master System. Our next game is Mega Turrican. It looks like a shooter of some sort. It is for the Genesis. I do have a video for that game. So enjoy, and spend those Wii Points wisely. Well thats just great for Europeans. Well while us Americans and Canadians are going to be the last ones to get Mario Kart, Europe still has no release date for Brawl, its only fair. Wow. I never expected to see our friends from Home Star Runner appearing on Wii. There is so much to say, bu t the trailer explains most of it, so I am going to summarize things. This game is being made by the same people who made the Sam and Max series of point and click puzzlers. This game will be a point and click puzzler too. I also find it interesting that this game was announced only a few days after the announcement of Sam and Max coming to Wii. Another interesting similarity between the two is the fact that they are both episodic games. Meaning a new episode, (or part of the game) is released monthly (or however long). I am excited. WiiWare is getting better and better each day. Now watch the trailer...

Well Wii Ware is looking better each day. It seems that each day I hear about a new game for the system, and each one looks good. I just am shocked. But anyways lets talka bout Toki Tori. What is it you may ask? I am not entirely sure. All I know is that it was a game for the GBC and I think this is a remake of it. Also, from the screens, it seems to be a platformer/puzzle game with a baby chicken.

But anyways it looks to be pretty fun. I'll wait for a review t conform the greatness of it though.

Nintendo Takes a Swing at Mario Super Sluggers

It has been a few months since the conformation of " Mario Baseball" We had that name and a picture of the game to hold us over. Well now at Nintendo's Media Summit, they played a bit of the game. From the screens that I have seen it looks like a really good game. Although the camera angle seems to have changed as far as batting goes. It is more zoomed is as you will see in the below picture.

Nintendo kicked off its Media Summit this morning with a quick preview of its next mascot-filled baseball title, now known as Mario Super Sluggers. Nintendo of America's Bill Trinnen walked the gathered press through a single inning—much speedier than the real life thing—featuring the Mario Firebats team taking on the Peach Royals. Like Mario Strikers Charged, Mario Super Sluggers uses a similar coach character team set up, with second string NIntendo characters like Shy Guy and Baby Mario covering the field while the player handles pitching duties.
Mario Super Sluggers uses a control scheme built on the foundation of Wii Sports baseball, with only Wii Remote gestures required to play. With Mario as his pitcher, Trinnen demoed the game's controls, using Wii-mote swinging to throw fastballs, curveballs and, naturally, fireballs. Twists of the remote during your swing allows for curveballs, with a properly timed swing—performed just as a set of glowing rings centers on your character—adding extra heat to the ball.

Power moves can be pulled of with an A+B button combination, when charged.

Fielding appeared to be largely controlled by the game's AI, with a shake of the Wii Remote making your fielder sprint to the ball. Throwing to a baseman requires just a simple toss. A quick press of A will make your defensive player dive for the ball, for dramatic last second catches.

Batting used a similar control method, with a Wii Sports-like batting swing and timing for hits following the same ring indicator. Your character can use power-ups while at bat, with Mario delivering a flaming baseball to centerfield, which Donkey Kong obviously dropped when caught.

Nintendo was light on details during the brief demo of Mario Super Sluggers, but it looks to follow previous Mario-themed sporting events, with guest appearances from a big number of Nintendo mainstays. We saw Mario, Luigi, Peach, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Shy Guy, Monty Mole, and Donkey Kong—who opts for a boxing glove instead of a bat—in the line-up.

Mario Super Sluggers was described as one of Nintendo's "bridge games", one that is designed to appeal to the Wii Sports crowd, and looks to aim for accessibility for traditional non-gamers. No one will mistake it for anything resembling a sim, but it's clear Nintendo is going for an even more casual audience-friendly look and feel.

As for me, I am glad they have the feeling largely controlled with the AI, because on Wii that would be difficult to control. But I do like being able to shake the Wiimote to let your AI controlled fielder run faster to get the ball. I also am glad they have that same coaching system that they used in Mario Strikers Charged, where you pick from Main characters to do main things, and use secondary characters to handle the fielding and other things. This is looking to be a great game. I just hope they get the motion right. If they do alls cool!

Hmm, to eat a cookie, or play ball that is the question. It seems that once again Nintendo is serving up 2 Virtual Console games, instead of three. Now for the past couple of weeks, we have been getting crap games. Is this week any different? Not really. Yoshi's Cookie, is a interesting looking puzzle game, and MAY be worth the five dollars, if you are a long time fan, but it does not look like something to take a bite out of. Well about time. This is one game that I have been wanting for a LONG time. Ever since the first one, I have been hooked to the series. I still play the first one. Bu this trailer revels a lot. Our main character Mattias seems to be out for revenge. Although the reason is still unknown. This trailer seems to revel that there are actual cut scenes, and a more driven story mode, rather than running and choosing targets. But I am sure the open worldness of the game will not be affected from this. So sit back and watch the trailer. Oh, I also forgot to mention it comes out Aug. 31.

I guess I've got some explaining to do. Where to start? Well for one thing I am sure we are all aware of the release of Super Smash Bros Brawl. The best Wii game ever. Its absolutely fantastic. I have been busy playing that, and exploring the millions of modes it has to offer. When I take a break from playing Brawl, I am playing it to record videos for my Youtube page. I am using my capture card, so the quality is perfect. I will post the videos I make here, so you will be notified when they come out.

Aside from Brawl I have been busy playing other games, and doing stuff. But expect a somewhat normal schedule from now on. Theres quite a bit of news I missed, so you will have to make do, because it will be a pain to cover all the stuff I missed. But I will star from now and keep you guys updated with the latest video game news. For now game on... and play Brawl.

Well all 3 of the JRPG fans who own a 360 are going to be glad to hear this. They are making a sequel to Lost Odyssey. Oh wait you knew that from the title. Sorry about that. According to a J Japanese interview, the developers said there was a sequel in the works. Also Microsoft said that they are pleased with the 100K sales. There is not much known, but they may be looking for their RPG line...

News: Metal Gear Solid's Release Date Announced

Well at long last PS3 fanboys have something to be happy about. The release date has finally been set for Metal Gear Solid 4. The game everyone has been wanting to play for over a year. The date is June 12, 2008 for US stores. There is also a deal that has a copy of the game included with an 80G PS3.

Konami today stepped up to the plate and confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will ship to US stores on June 12, 2008. At the same time, the company also released an early image of the game's box art, which is likely to change drastically before summer.
Konami reps went on to add that, starting in April, those who pre-order the game will be able to snag a Metal Gear Saga 2.0 DVD, featuring character bios, a recap of the series' story so far, a 20th anniversary retrospective and a collection of MGS4 trailers. More interestingly, those who pre-order early will also get access to the beta for Metal Gear Online, which goes live in April.

Will this be worth it? Its SNNNAAAAAAAAAKKKKKEEEEEE!..... You tell me.

Reviews: Lost Planet and Wii Sports

Well I've been working hard. Two new video reviews up in two weeks. Thats a lot... for me. Here they are. The first review is Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. It was a game that came out for Xbox 360 and later PC last year. Now it is coming to the PS3, but I heard the PS3 version is not that great, although it had the potential to be. Never the less the version I reviewed (Xbox 360) is a superb game that you really should check out.

The next game is Wii Sports. Ahh, good old Wii Sports. The game is perfect in almost every sense. It eels great whacking the Wiimote at the tennis ball the first time you hook upo the Wii. It is also a great hooker game for those who do not own a Wii and play it. They get hooked on the game. The review is very in depth and i spent a lot of time of it Enjoy!

News: Mario Kart Wii Text Chat Debunked

Well the other day Nintendo of Europe made a strartement regarding Mario Kart Wii's online mode. They sayd you will be able to gointo text chat rooms and do text chat. I would imagin similar to AIM or MSN. YAY! HORRA! TALLEHO! Whatever expression of glee may be, preapir of the DUN-DUN-DUN. Today Nintendo of America made a statement saying that there will be text chat game. But they are phrases that Nintendo has picked out. I would imagine, like "Take that" or " Pizza!" Thanks Nintendo....

Nintendo of Europe originally told IGN: "You can create rooms for friends to join and even text chat while you're waiting for other racers." Good news then. Except they were telling porkies...

Nintendo's American operation quickly contacted the publication to explain that while there will be "text chat" in Mario Kart Wii's online mode, it'll be in the form of pre-determined phrases that can be sent as messages before the match (such as "let's race!" or "No Wario Stadium shortcut!" we presume).

There'll be no proper communication between friends in Mario Kart Wii, then. Thank you Nintendo for once again protecting us from the evils of the internet.

At least the pre-determined text will probably allow us to play with foreign racers, auto translated and all that.

It was another Monday and yet again we get our weekly fill of VC games from our friends at Nintendo. This week we get two games instead of the usual three. Well latley its actually been two, but you know what I mean...

This week we got Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards and Psychosis

Now from what I know, Kirby 64 is a GREAT game. I own it for the 64 and STRONGLY recommend it if you have not played it. I did a review on it a while ago, and I'll post that here. It is worth the 10 dollars. As for Psychosis I have never heard of it or played it. Here is a description for each from the Nintendo site.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Kirby's first 3-D adventure is also his Nintendo 64 debut, and it finds the always-versatile hero battling a new enemy called Dark Matter. Dark Matter is after a distant land's powerful crystal, but a young fairy named Ribbon attempts to save it by escaping with the gem to Dream Land. Now the crystal has been broken, and it's scattered around the world. Take control of Kirby and help him journey across six worlds, battling a wide variety of enemies and challenging bosses, as he tries to collect all 100 pieces of the shattered crystal. Along the way, you'll use Kirby's trademark copying ability to use enemies' strengths against them. Not only that, but try combining any two abilities to create a brand-new one that is usually stronger than the original. Throw in three exciting multiplayer minigames, and you've got a package of which even King Dedede would be proud. Fans of Kirby and action games with bright, colorful graphics should vacuum this one up.

Psychosis

This is a side-scrolling shooter played in a world created from the mind of a twisted demon. Your soul has suddenly wandered into that evil world that exists in every person's heart. The only way out is to blast your way past the grotesque creatures that block your path in five "causes" (stages). You must face the dangers of this psychedelic world by making full use of three shot types and the satellite option. With power-ups, you can change your shots to a wide-coverage beam, a satellite-generated laser and more. Each shot type can be powered up to three levels. You can also block enemy fire by rotating the satellites to a desired position. How you use these features will be the key to successfully escaping this strange and surreal world.

We;; its official. We FINALLY have another system that will be added to our list of six. Making a grand total of... seven. Never the less its a new system. But what is it. Here is a bit of Wikipedia's description of it.

So its a computer. I'm still puzzled about what is can do, but I think it is a computer that was more of a gaming system. Also it was an expencive sucker back when it came out! More than the PS3!

News: Pay to Play: Wii's Online Service going to be Subscription Based?

Well its official. Nintendo has announced that some of its upcoming Nintendo Wi-Fi games will require a fee to play. I would imagine that would be because of MMOs. Like Animal Crossing. As much as I want Animal Crossing if it requires a fee, then that turns me off a bit. Also this may be for games that use a head set. SO I have a theory. The simple Wi-Fi we currently have is for the casual gamers, so its free. The pay to play online is most likely going to include MMO's , and headsets. For us hardcore gamers. Either way its a bit odd, because this goes against Nintendo's online plan. Which was to make things free. So if they do make all the good games cost a fee, then please make the service better than Xbox Live!

Preview: Okami Comes to Wii!

Well we have heard of this for a few months now, but there has little known about the game except for the fact it is going to be a port of the PS2 version. Except with added Wii controls. Which is great. Also there have been no screens or videos as well. Until now. We now see that IGN got their hands on a copy and they like it. Here is a bit of what they thought.

The game features a unique visual presentation made to look like traditional Japanese sumi-e brush paintings. On PlayStation 2, the in-world game graphics appear to drawn to life on a virtual landscape textured in rice paper, meant to harken back to ancient Japanese art. You will notice in our screenshots and videos that while the majority of the visual sense is maintained in the Wii build, the parchment paper texture is conspicuously absent. We suspect this is a filter that Ready at Dawn was unable to accurately translate to Wii. In a side-by-side visual comparison with the PS2 incarnation, we also noticed that the original title sports more subtle bloom work. However, to its credit, the Wii update to the game runs in progressive-scan (480p) and a quasi-16:9 widescreen mode -- we call it "quasi" because it's not full resolution; thin black bars remain on each side of the screen. The framerate differences separating the two versions are negligible, meanwhile. The ported build features a noticeably cleaner look, partly because of the missing parchment filter and partly because it's running in 480p. However, it's worth noting that everything also looks brighter and more vibrant on Nintendo's system.

Whatever visual sacrifices have been introduced in the Wii version are outweighed by the control advancements made to the build. You control Amaterasu with the nunchuk's analog stick and the wolf is effortlessly maneuvered through huge 3D environments as she quests to save the world from the evils of Orochi. The wolf barks / bites and digs with the C and Z buttons respectively, the former useful for carrying items and the latter for finding hidden goodies buried throughout the universe, like food and treasure. The A button on the Wii remote is used for jumping; tap it again when Amaterasu is near a wall or cliff and she'll double-jump up it. The 1 and 2 buttons toggle different camera views and bring up an on-screen map and the plus button skips cinematics, which is new to the Wii incarnation of the game; trust us, after 20 minutes of opening cut-scenes, you'll be thankful.

You simply waggle the Wii remote left and right and Amaterasu will dart forward and attack enemies. You can chain together combos very effectively by motioning left and right with Nintendo's controller and you can even combo in mid-air by leaping up and then gesturing with the Wii remote. It's not always as easy as it sounds, however, to keep a combo going. The simple button taps on the PS2 are easier to pull off in succession, in our experience, but using the Wii remote has a tactile feel and once you get the timing down, the combos will come. (You can extend Amaterasu's combo attacks by purchasing upgrades throughout the adventure.)

I am really excited for this game, from the videos and screens I have seen, I may actually go out and buy it. The forty dollar price tag helps. But this game comes out in March. March is Brawl time, so hopefully this game will not be overlooked.

Preview: Samba De Amigo Shaking Over to Wii

If you do not know what Samba De Amigo is allow me to explain. It was a game made by Sega for the Dreamcast. The catch here was that the Dreamcast was about done. The system was selling terribly and Sega was making insane price cuts. Along comes a first party title, but alas. Its costs about $200 dollars. Its a recipe for disaster. And the game did not sell. Now a few years later Samba may have found his way home. The Wii. Perfect. The Wiimote and Nunchuck have the motion built in so not $200 dollar super sensitive maracas. Just the plain old Wiimote and nunchuck. The game is a rhythm game with a Spanish feel. Looks interesting. I likes me a good rhythm games so this may be worth it...

News: PS3 Beats 360 Sales for January

Well we all laughed at poked fun at the PS3 ever since it came out in 2006. We mocked it and threw our 360 headsets and wiimotes at it and laughed. Well PS3 is apparently gaining some steam. Its beat the Xbox 360 in number or consoles sold for the month of January. Will this new trend continue throughout the coming months. Possibly. Sony claims that 2008 is the PS3's year and with the titles coming in the next couple of months, I wouldn't have much of an argument. Still Xbox 360 has time to play some catch up while the Wii sits of its throne.
